CopyCat ScanLab launched after a family member gave us boxes and albums of old photos, negatives, slides and vintage 8mm films. We couldn’t bring ourselves to throw them away so decided to sort, copy, repair and share the digital copies with the families and friends in the photos, scattered all over the world.
We were met with such enthusiasm and positive response we decided to tackle our own photos, albums and films. Now digitised, our media folders are easily shared on social media and viewed on our phones, computer, iPad and TV screens, all saved in the Cloud and backed up on an external storage device. No more flicking through bulky albums and jumbled shoeboxes to find that one photo or wondering what is recorded on that old film. Another benefit is in our Photo Sharing Groups on Google and Apple the selected groups can add their own photos to these shared group folders.
We’re a husband-and-wife team based on the beautiful Northern Beaches of Sydney. When we are not working, we enjoy spending time with our family and our two border collies.

With my passion for photography and technology and love of graphic design, my perfect day is to be in the middle of a stack of photos and films!
My background is event management working with large global corporations. Each of my events were different but each event required similar tasks such as sourcing photos, compiling footage for video segments, collateral design and slideshow presentations.
I have always been interested in family history, old photos and the stories behind the people and places. I take pride in everything I do, love a challenge and I am a perfectionist!

Being semi-retired allows me time to spend on the fun things like cycling in the bush, walking the dogs, and making packed-away treasured memories come to life for people who don’t know where to start with their boxes of old photos, slides and negs and movies.
Why have blank TV and computer screens around the house when you can be reminded of all the good times, past and present, every day and share them with family & friends around the world.
